Medalic Art - Early 20th Century

Ever since I bought my one example of Medalic Art a few months ago, I have added Medals to my search criteria when searching for academic nudes. I stumbled upon an Antiques dealer in South America of all places who specializes in Medalic Art and apparently from what I can gather has over a thousand in his collection. If you are interested in starting a collection of medals they are probably the most affordable kind of artwork you can collect. Most are under one hundred dollars or the equivalent and are quite portable. The French bronzes are probably the most prevalent and most beautiful. Here is just a sampling of his offerings:
